Near Lake Wakatipu in the small town of Glenorchy, 45km from Queenstown, you can find The Trading Post, opened in 2007 by John and Toni Glover. Originally from England, John met Toni on his travels in New Zealand and never returned. Together they restored the remote and historic Kinloch Lodge, where they've provided a variety of accommodation and delicious food since 2000, and The Trading Post is a natural extension of their warm hospitality.
A former garage for the house, which is now the luxury Glenorchy Lake House B&B, the shop offers organic coffee, tasty treats and beautiful New Zealand gifts in thoughtful surroundings, accompanied by lake views. Products reflect our values of intelligence, our environment, our community, relevance and fun, with something for everyone. The cosmetics, candles and soaps are all natural, the books are fascinating, the childrens toys are delightful and everything is sourced as locally as possible. By supporting us you're supporting many other small, independent and passionate businesses.
